Professor Mohammad S. Obaidat (Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of SCS) is an internationally well-known academic/researcher/scientist. He received his Ph.D. and M. S. degrees in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. Dr. Obaidat is currently the Chair and Full Professor of Computer and Information Science at Fordham University, NY, USA. He has received extensive research funding and has published Forty Six (46) books and over Six Hundreds and Eighty (680) refereed technical articles in scholarly international journals and proceedings of international conferences, and currently working on three more books. Mohammad is the Editor-in-Chief of the Wiley International Journal of Communication Systems, the FTRA Journal of Convergence and the KSIP Journal of Information Processing. He is also an Editor of IEEE Wireless Communications. He is now an editor of the Wiley Security and Communication Networks Journal, Journal of Networks, International Journal of Information Technology, Communications and Convergence, IJITCC, Inderscience. Andreas Holzinger is lead of the Holzinger Group HCI–KDD, Institute for Medical Informatics & Statistics  at the Medical University Graz, and Associate Professor of Applied Computer Science at the Faculty of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology. Currently, Andreas is Visiting Professor for Machine Learning in Health Informatics at the Faculty of Informatics at Vienna University of Technology. He serves as consultant for the Canadian, US, UK, Swiss, French, Italian and Dutch governments, for the German Excellence Initiative, and as national expert in the European Co mmission. Andreas obtained a PhD in Cognitive Science from Graz University in 1998 and his Habilitation (second PhD) in Computer Science from Graz University of Technology in 2003. Andreas was Visiting Professor in Berlin, Innsbruck, London (twice), and Aachen. Andreas and his Group work on extracting knowledge from data and foster a synergistic combination of methodologies of two areas that offer ideal conditions towards unraveling problems with complex health data: Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Knowledge Discovery/Data Mining (KDD), with the central goal of supporting human intelligence with machine learning to discover novel, previously unknown insights into data. To stimulate crazy ideas at international level without boundaries, Andreas founded the international Expert Network HCI–KDD. Andreas is Associate Editor of Knowledge and Information Systems (KAIS), Associate Editor of Springer Brain Informatics (BRIN) and Section Editor of BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making (MIDM). Marten van Sinderen holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science, both from the University of Twente (UT). He is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science of the UT, and coordinator of the research area on Service Architectures and Health Applications at UT's Centre for Telematics and Information Technology (CTIT). His research focuses on design methods and technologies for distributed information systems. His research interests include service-oriented architectures, model-driven design, enterprise interoperability, and busines s-IT alignment.
Marten van Sinderen is active in both national and international communities on his field of interest. He was project manager of the Dutch Freeband/A-MUSE project (BSIK 03025) on model-driven design of context-aware services. He currently leads the Dutch GenCom/U-Care project (IGC0816) on tailorable and adaptive homecare services. He is chairman of the steering committee of the International IEEE Enterprise Computing Conference (EDOC), and program co-chair of the International Conference on e-Business (ICE-B). He is also a member of the managerial board of IFIP WG5.8 on Enterprise Interoperability, and a member of the editorial boards of the Enterprise Information Systems journal published by Taylor & Francis and the Service oriented Computing and Applications journal published by Springer. ... Brief Bio
Since september 2006, he works at the Department of Computer Science, Aalborg University where he currently holds an associate professorship and leads IWIS group. Before he was an assistant professor at the same department. His research interest fall into intelligent web and information systems which includes adaptive hypertext and hypermedia, user modelling, personalization, web based systems, web services, software product lines and technology enhanced learning.

He worked as a researcher at L3S Research Center, University of Hannover, Germany from september 2002 til august 2006 in the a group of Wolfga ng Nejdl. He participated in PROLEARN network of excellence as a project coordinator. He contributed to Knowledge Web and REWERSE network of excellence. He worked as a workpackage and L3S project coordinator on ELENA project where he was mainly responsible for web engineering and personalization issues.

He recieved his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in 2006 from University of Hannover where it was awarded "Summa cum laude". He recieved his MEng. degree in 2000 and BEng. degree in 1998 (both in Computer Science - Software Engineering) from Slovak University of Technology (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology).

In his doctoral thesis, he has developed a domain engineering framework for adaptive web applications. The framework is based on the idea that adaptive web application is a web application family where concrete instances are configured in 2 steps: at the design time and at the run time based on a dynamic and evolving user profile. The framework is based on feature models for domain analysis, collaboration diagrams for adaptive content composition design and state diagrams for adaptive navigation design used also in generators.

He was involved as teaching assistant in Principles of Software Engineering, Team Project, Database Systems, Management in Software Engineering. He also supervised several final bachelor projects, master projects and master thesis.

He participated in several industrial projects on Customer Relationship Management as consultant or senior software engineer. He has been a (certified) quality auditor of quality management systems according to ISO9001:2000. ... More >>
